About Us

I (Luis) have always liked building things out of wood. When I was a kid, my dad used to bring scraps of wood left over from construction sites for me to use(he is civil engineer). We had several hand tools in our house which allowed me to build things like dog houses, pin ball machines, wagons, etc. A few years after college I decided to start taking woodwoking classes at Palomar College. This opportunity opened my eyes to the different dimensions of working with wood. For the last couple of years I have been building wooden boxes, furniture, cutting boards and other wooden accessories.

My wife Tiana and I decided to create Wooden Leaves in 2008 to share our passion with you. We both come from musical backgrounds and we try to incorporate musical elements, however abstract, into some of our designs. Tiana is also the designer of our wooden leaves candle holders, gingerbread men and others.
